I just called the DMV at 3pm on a Friday and they just literally picked the phone up and then hung it up right away TWICE. This is ridiculous!!

I understand your frustration. Dealing with the DMV can be incredibly challenging, and having them hang up on you twice is definitely not acceptable. Here are a few things you could consider doing:
- Document the incidents:
- Note the exact time you called.
- If possible, record the phone number you used.
- Keep a record of the number of times this has happened.
- Try alternative contact methods:
- Check if the DMV has an online chat or email support option.
- See if they have a social media presence where you can send a direct message.
- Visit the DMV website to see if you can complete your task online.
- Call back at different times:
- Avoid calling right before closing time.
- Try calling earlier in the day or mid-week, if possible.
- Consider visiting a local office:
- While it might be inconvenient, a physical visit could be more productive.
- File a complaint:
- Many DMVs have a complaint process. Check their website for instructions.
- If you are dealing with a state level DMV you can often contact your state representatives as well.
- Search online for similar experiences:
- You might find forums or social media groups where others have had similar issues.
- This could provide you with additional insights or solutions.
