Your current Missouri driver’s license, even if it’s not REAL ID compliant, does not affect your ability to get a REAL ID non-driver license.
Allow 10-15 business days to receive your REAL ID non-driver license in the mail, as Missouri uses a central issuance system. You will receive a temporary document at the time of application.
You must notify the person assisting you at the license office that you wish to apply for a REAL ID-compliant document.
It’s highly recommended to use the Missouri Department of Revenue’s interactive guide or review their full list of acceptable documents to ensure you have everything you need before visiting a license office.
