My DL is relatively new, but I recently moved. Do I need to come in to update my license, or can a new license be issued with my new address without me coming in?

A) If you have recently moved, you are required to update your address on your driver’s license within a certain period of time, which varies by state. In some states, you can update your address online, while in others, you must visit a local DMV office in person.
In Georgia for example along with other states, you can update your address online or in person at a DDS Customer Service Center. If you choose to update your address online, you will receive a new license with your updated address by mail within 7-10 business days. If you prefer to visit a DDS Customer Service Center, you can obtain a new license with your updated address on the spot.
I hope this information helps!
